FAQ

What maps are in the CS2 map pool?
The Active Duty pool has seven maps: Ancient, Anubis, Cache, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke. It's the pool for Premier and for Valve-sanctioned events like the Majors.
What is the newest map in CS2's map pool?
Cache. It was added on July 8, 2026, replacing Overpass.
How often does the CS2 map pool change?
Valve changes one map at a time, and since 2025 it has done so twice a year, in January and July. The July changes came with a new season.
Which maps have left the CS2 map pool?
Since CS2 launched: Overpass, Vertigo, Anubis, Train. Some came back later, like Overpass and Anubis.
Is the Premier map pool the same as the Active Duty pool?
Yes. Premier is CS2's pick-and-ban mode on the Active Duty maps, so the two pools are the same.
