Free CS2 Skins

Every real way to get CS2 skins without paying, in one place. Most free skins are cheap ones, and anything that asks for your Steam login is a scam. Here's what actually pays out.

1. Our daily free case

Sign in with Steam and open one free case every 24 hours. About 1 in 14 opens wins a skin, from cheap Mil-Specs up to a Karambit, and every roll is provably fair. Wins go to your Steam trade URL, sent by hand, usually within a day. No deposit, ever.

2. Free cases with a code

Case sites give new players free cases to try them out, and some add a daily free case. Read the conditions: winnings often need a deposit or wagering before you can withdraw.

3. Daily skin games: CS2dle

CS2dle, from MattCS, is five daily CS2 puzzles: a CS2 Wordle, Guess the Skin, Higher or Lower, an emoji quiz and Guess the Price. Finish any three and you unlock a free case. Every game also earns tickets for a weekly $10 skin draw, and the monthly leaderboard's top 3 win $15, $10 and $5. No payments, no gambling.

4. Earn sites

5. Free from Valve

Weekly Care Package. Playing on a Prime account earns you a weekly care package, where you choose from weapon cases, weapon finishes and graffiti. It replaced the old weekly drops in September 2023, and Valve rotates the collections in it: Harlequin and Achroma were added in January 2026.

You need Prime. Since June 2021 only Prime accounts earn XP and drops. Prime also lets you place Major Pick'Em picks for free, though the rewards need a Viewer Pass. Our CS2 Major page has the next one.

Free skin scams to avoid

  • A "free knife" or "giveaway win" site that asks you to sign in with Steam on a page that isn't steamcommunity.com.
  • Anyone asking for your Steam API key, or a trade where you send items first to "verify" your account.
  • Friend requests or DMs saying you won something you never entered.

A real giveaway only ever needs your Steam trade URL, which lets someone send you a trade offer and nothing more.

Questions

Can you really get CS2 skins for free?
Yes, but mostly cheap ones. Free cases, daily skin games and earn sites pay out real skins, usually worth cents to a few dollars, with a small chance at something bigger. Valve's weekly care package is free once you have Prime. Anything promising a free knife for logging in is a scam.
Do free case codes need a deposit?
Some do. Many sites let you open the free cases straight away but ask for a deposit, a Steam level or wagering before you can withdraw what you won. Each site's review lists the conditions we found.
Do you need Prime for free CS2 drops?
Yes. Since June 2021 only Prime accounts get XP, ranks and item drops, and the Weekly Care Package that replaced weekly drops in September 2023 is Prime only too.
What's the safest way to get free skins?
Ones that only need your Steam trade URL, never your password, API key or a login on a site you reached through a DM. Our daily free case sends prizes by Steam trade offer to the trade URL you give it.
