CSGOEmpire has been running since 2016, which makes it one of the originals. It's run by Moonrail Limited, and its own help page names the owner: Finnish entrepreneur Ossi Ketola, known as Monarch, who says he started it from his bedroom with an €11,000 loan. He also launched Duel in 2025. Semrush has it at about 6.3 million visits in August, rock steady all year. Sweden is by far its biggest market.
Worth knowing about the founder: in 2024 Monarch publicly claimed responsibility for organising a stage rush at the PGL Major in Copenhagen. Make of that what you will.
The code
Code BETREFS gets you a free case, but be realistic about it. Trustpilot is 2.9 from about 3,700 reviews, and the recent complaints are about how strict it is: proof of address demanded after a deposit (one player couldn't provide it because their home is in occupied Ukraine), accounts banned without an explanation, and referral rewards removed because two friends lived in the same house. Support gets called rude and sarcastic more than once.
Verdict
