FAQ

What are callouts in CS2?
Callouts are the names players use for places on a map, so a teammate knows where an enemy is in a word or two. The game itself names the main areas and shows the name under your radar; players add their own names for smaller spots.
Which maps are in the CS2 Active Duty pool?
Mirage, Inferno, Dust 2, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis, Cache. That's the pool for Premier and Valve's competitions; the history of every change is on our CS2 map pool page.
Where do these callout maps come from?
From CS2's own files. Every named area is a volume in the map with a place name; we read each one's outline and drew it over the game's radar image, from the Oct 15 2026 build (1.41.9.1). That's 257 in-game callouts across 10 maps.
Why do teams use different callouts?
The in-game names are fixed, but community names grow up around them: a box named after a pro, a window, a corner. They differ between regions and teams, so most teams agree on a short list. Each map page lists the community names most guides agree on, under the area they belong to.
