How to use it

  1. Check the pass price (the calculator starts at $15.99; use the price your in-game store shows) and how many passes you'll run.
  2. Choose how to value weapon collections: the estimated average or the cheapest result you could get.
  3. Compare each reward's value per credit with what a credit costs you. Green beats the pass price, red doesn't.
  4. Type a value for charms or stickers (we don't track their prices) to see where they land.

What we know and what we don't

The odds inside an Armory collection aren't published. A redemption gives you one random skin from the collection, but Valve hasn't said how likely each grade is. The "estimated average" uses the ratio Valve published for weapon cases (each grade 5 times rarer than the one below) across the grades the collection has, with every skin in a grade equally likely and floats equally likely across a skin's range. Treat it as an estimate. The "cheapest result" needs no odds: it's the lowest price any skin in the collection sells for, so one redemption is worth at least that.

The pass price isn't on Valve's pages. It shows in the in-game store and depends on your currency, so the calculator starts at $15.99 (US) and lets you change it.

Charms and stickers aren't in our price data yet, so they show no value until you type one. The Fever Case is valued as an unopened case at its market price.

Most of a collection's estimated value comes from its rare skins: the cheapest results are a few cents, while the best skins (Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol $186.03, AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn $128.56, AK-47 | B the Monster $85.65) are what most players hope for.

FAQ

How many credits does an Armory Pass give?
40. You earn them by playing: every time you earn XP, your active passes make progress. Since 7 November 2024 there's no free first credit on activation; all 40 are earned through play. You can have up to 5 passes active at once.
Is the Armory Pass worth it?
Not for resale value at today's prices. At $15.99 a credit costs $0.400, and the best-value reward we can price, the Fever Case, is worth about $0.265 per credit. It can make sense if you want the items themselves, or if you hit a rare skin.
What can you get in the Armory right now?
Spy Tech Collection (4 credits), Arabesque Collection (4 credits), Overpass 2024 Collection (4 credits), Fever Case (2 credits), Dr Boom Charms (3 credits), Missing Link Community Charms (3 credits), Missing Link Charms (3 credits), Small Arms Charms (3 credits), Auto Racing Stickers (1 credit), Fruits And Veggies Stickers (1 credit), 2025 Community Stickers (1 credit). That's the list in the game's files for build 1.41.9.1.
Do XP boosts make the Armory Pass faster?
No. Valve says pass progress is constant: you make the same progress for the same amount of play, whether your XP is boosted or reduced.
Can you trade Armory items or credits?
Credits and passes can't be traded or sold. The items you redeem can, after the 7-day trade and market hold Valve puts on items from the in-game store and the Armory.
