Chips.gg is a crypto casino and sportsbook that just celebrated its sixth anniversary. It's run by Notyarg Ltd and its founder is public: Jacob Dent, known as Tacyarg. It's small: on-chain data shows about $1.4 million in crypto deposits over 30 days from roughly 1,800 depositors.

Chips Originals (limbo, dice, keno, plinko), slots, live casino, sports, raffles and a King of the Hill challenge. What I like: every game tile shows its RTP, 99% on the originals, and on-chain data measured the edge on those at about 1%. That's the transparency I want.

Design and UX: 8/10

Clean and to the point: a slim top bar, a raffle banner, a search bar with a provider filter, and a most-played row with RTP labels on every tile. It feels calm and organised. The big blue Register button is clear. Small points off for the busy raffle banner, and that's about it.

Trust

3.9 on Trustpilot from about 360 reviews, mostly positive about withdrawals. But two reviews, a day apart and possibly from the same person, say they asked Chips to ban their account because of a gambling addiction, Chips refused, and they lost everything. If that's true, it's the worst thing a casino can do. A self-exclusion request has to be honoured, full stop. I'll be asking Chips about it.

Verdict

Chips is one of the most transparent small casinos around, and the site is a pleasure to use. The self-exclusion complaint stops me from recommending it without a warning: if you need a break, don't rely on the site to give you one.
