Are site contracts the same as CS2 trade-ups?

No. They borrow the idea, but the site sets the possible outcomes and odds, not Valve. Only the in-game trade-up follows CS2's own rules.

Can you profit from trade-up contracts?

Sometimes on a single contract, but the odds are set so the average result is worth less than what you put in.

How trade-up contracts work

They're based on the trade-up contract in CS2 itself, where you swap several skins of one rarity for one skin of the next rarity up. Gambling sites run their own versions: you put in skins or balance, the site shows the range of items you can get back, and a provably fair roll picks one. Check the value range and odds before you confirm, since most outcomes are worth less than you put in.
