The dice formula

multiplier = (1 - house edge) / win chance
win chance = (1 - house edge) / multiplier

Stake's dice rolls a number from 0.00 to 100.00 (its published formula is float x 10001 / 100) and lets you set a win chance from 0.01% to 98%. Rolling over 50.50 or under 49.50 is the same 49.5% chance. Its game page states a 1% house edge, so the multiplier is 99 / win chance.

Every setting keeps the same house edge, so no target or win chance is "better" on average. Over many bets you lose about bet x house edge per bet: 1 for every 100 wagered at 1%. Lower win chances only make the swings bigger.

FAQ

How is the dice multiplier calculated?
Multiplier = (100 - house edge %) / win chance %. At Stake's 1% edge that's 99 / win chance: 49.5% pays 2x, 10% pays 9.9x and 1% pays 99x.
What are the odds of rolling over 50 on dice?
On a 0.00 to 100.00 roll, over 50.50 wins 49.5% of the time and pays 2x at a 1% edge. Over 50.00 would win about 50%, which pays 1.98x.
Is there a dice strategy that wins?
No. Every roll is independent and every win chance has the same edge, so changing targets or doubling after losses only changes the shape of your results. The average loss stays bet x house edge.
Which crypto dice has the lowest house edge?
Most crypto casino dice games state 1%, such as Stake, Shuffle and Roobet. Skin sites can be higher: CSGORoll's dice works out to 5% from the chances it shows.
